Sky to House

What is it?

We use this very often as our opening shot. It consists of starting at a lovely scenic view and then lapses down to the house. Never skip anything important. Starts at High Aerial Point of Interest, then top down, then front view of home.

How to Fly it!

Begin with drone at least 100 ft above the home, with either the horizon or point of interest (such as Downtown Seattle) centered. Have drone slowly descent, turning to a top-down view of the home. Direct top downs are not always possible and make sense for every home; key is to have the drone near-centered on the home while descending. As drone descends slowly, begin moving camera to keep front of home centered. Have drone descend as low as possible to end shot at eye level of someone standing in front of the home, or to the ground. Landing height differs with each home depending on terrain, location, and weather.
